These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of Dose Amigo (“Dose Amigo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Dose Amigo mobile application and this website (together, the “Service”). Dose Amigo is currently developed and operated by an independent developer, rather than a registered company. By downloading, installing, or using Dose Amigo, you agree to these Terms.

In plain English

Dose Amigo helps you remember to take your medications. It’s a reminder and organization tool — not a doctor, not a pharmacy, and not a substitute for professional medical care. Please read the Medical Disclaimer section below carefully.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Dose Amigo is a medication reminder and tracking application that helps you schedule reminders, log doses, track adherence, and manage refill timing for medications, vitamins, and supplements. Features may be added, changed, or removed over time as the app evolves.

Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction to create an account or use the Service directly without parental or guardian consent. If you are using Dose Amigo to help manage a family member’s medications, you are responsible for ensuring that use complies with these Terms and any applicable law.

Service Availability

Dose Amigo is an evolving, independently developed product. Features that are available today — including features that are currently free — may be changed, limited, discontinued, or moved behind a paid subscription in the future. We’ll try to communicate meaningful changes where practical, but we don’t guarantee that any specific feature will remain free, remain available, or continue to exist in its current form indefinitely.

The Service, specific features, and subscription plans may also vary by country, region, app store, or platform (iOS vs. Android), due to factors such as local regulations, app store policies, or technical constraints outside our control.

Subscriptions

Dose Amigo offers both a free plan and one or more optional paid subscription plans (“Plus” or similar) that unlock additional features.

Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for paid plans. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and your payment method will be charged.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on the device you use to subscribe. All payment information, currency conversion, and any applicable taxes (such as VAT or sales tax) are handled directly by Apple or Google under their respective terms and privacy policies — we do not directly process or store your payment card details, and we do not set regional pricing ourselves. Pricing may vary by country or region as determined by Apple or Google.

Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, in accordance with Apple’s and Google’s respective billing policies.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or Google Play subscriptions page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you’ll keep access to paid features until then.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled directly by Apple or Google according to their own refund policies, since they process the payment. We’re happy to assist and advocate on your behalf if you contact us, but the final decision rests with the platform that processed your payment.

Medical Disclaimer

Dose Amigo is not a medical device

Dose Amigo is a reminder and organizational tool. It is not a medical device, medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment, or an emergency service. Never use Dose Amigo as a substitute for professional medical guidance.

To be as clear as possible, Dose Amigo is not:

A medical device
A source of medical advice
A diagnostic tool
A treatment or therapy
A pharmacy or prescribing service
An emergency service of any kind

Dose Amigo does not verify anything about your medications. The app does not check, validate, or confirm medication dosages, drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, or whether a medication, dosage, or schedule is safe or appropriate for you. Any medication names, dosages, timing, or instructions you enter are provided by you (or someone assisting you) and are never reviewed, checked, or approved by us in any way.

Always confirm dosages, interactions, allergies, and suitability with your doctor, pharmacist, or another qualified healthcare provider before making any decision about your medications. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately — do not rely on Dose Amigo.

You remain fully responsible for taking your medications correctly, verifying dosages, interactions, and timing with a qualified professional, and using your own judgment about your health.

Reminders are not guaranteed to arrive

Notification delivery depends on many factors entirely outside our control, including your device’s notification and permission settings, Do Not Disturb or Focus modes, battery optimization or power-saving features, operating system behavior and updates, background app restrictions, network or internet connectivity, and device restarts or hardware issues. Because of this, Dose Amigo cannot and does not guarantee that any reminder will be delivered, delivered on time, or delivered at all. Never rely on Dose Amigo as your only method of remembering a medication that is critical to your health.

AI-Powered Features

Dose Amigo may, now or in the future, offer features powered by artificial intelligence, such as suggestions, summaries, or insights about your medication routine. Any output from these features is provided for informational purposes only and is not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or simply wrong, and should never be relied upon in place of guidance from a qualified healthcare professional.

Intellectual Property

The Dose Amigo name, logo, app design, website, branding, graphics, illustrations, screenshots, documentation, marketing materials, and underlying software are owned by the operator of Dose Amigo and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Using the Service does not grant you ownership of, or any license to, this intellectual property beyond what’s needed to use the app for its intended personal purpose.

Open Source Software

Dose Amigo is built using a number of third-party open-source software components and libraries. Each of these components remains governed by its own license, separate from these Terms. Where required, attribution and license information for these components is made available within the app or upon request. Your use of any open-source component included in the Service is subject to that component’s applicable license, in addition to these Terms.

Data Backup

Your medication data is primarily stored on your device. Where optional backup or cloud sync features are offered, you remain responsible for maintaining your own backups where appropriate — for example, before uninstalling the app, switching devices, or performing a factory reset. Deleted or lost data, including medication schedules, history, and notes, may not always be recoverable, whether due to app deletion, device loss or failure, storage corruption, or an interruption to any backup or sync feature. We recommend periodically confirming that any backup or sync feature you rely on is enabled and working as expected.

Acceptable Use

When using Dose Amigo, you agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Use the Service in any way that is abusive, disruptive, or intended to harm Dose Amigo, its infrastructure, or other users.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its underlying systems.
Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service without our prior written permission.
Engage in automated abuse of any kind, including bot activity, credential stuffing, or artificially inflating usage or engagement.
Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or attempt to breach any security or authentication measures.
Introduce viruses, malware, or any other malicious code intended to damage or disrupt the Service or its users’ devices.
Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service, or the servers and networks connected to it.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior toward the Service or its operator, or if required by law. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as the Medical Disclaimer, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) will continue to apply.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that reminders will always be delivered on time.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of Dose Amigo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes, without limitation, damages resulting from:

Missed, delayed, or failed medication reminders or notifications
Any medication error, missed dose, incorrect dosage, or resulting health outcome
Loss of data, including medication history, schedules, or notes
Device failure, loss, damage, or replacement
Failures or interruptions in cloud synchronization or backup features
Interruptions, errors, or downtime affecting subscriptions, billing, or renewals
Any other issue that is reasonably foreseeable in connection with the use of a mobile application

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of Dose Amigo from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Force Majeure

We won’t be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where the failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control. This includes, without limitation, natural disasters, internet or telecommunications outages, power failures, acts of government, labor disputes, public health emergencies, third-party service or cloud provider outages, app store outages, cyberattacks, or other events of a similar nature.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as the Service evolves. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes, we’ll aim to notify you in the app before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Dose Amigo resides or is based (see the Contact section below), without regard to conflict of laws principles, unless a different consumer-protection law mandatorily applies based on your location as a consumer.
